A Murder, A Mystery, and A Marriage

Is a story about John Gray, a poor a farmer who lived in a village called Deer League, with about a population of 600 to 700 habitats. Gray has a daughter, called Mary, he wants her to get married to a rich man called Hugh Gregory, for that is his only chance of becoming rich, Sarah(Sali) also wants it that way, but Mary's Uncle David doesn't like Hugh, because he tried to cheat Hugh father in a farmland and Hugh stop it and from then he doesn't like him
One day Rev. John Huley came to Mr. Gray's house and told him that his brother David wants Mary to marry the man he likes and this will settle the issue between them so, gray agree with that, that she is going to marry George Wayne( count Herbert dee Fountonblow) At the end it was that Hue is in jail for the murder of David Gray. Mary is going to get married the same day that Hugh is to be hanged. Last chapter Mark Twain show his anger over what happened between him and Jules Verne.
